Thamuz

In the deepest depths of the Abyss, molten magma churns at the birthplace of the formidable Fire Demons. Among them was Thamuz, who rose to become the mightiest Fire Demon and their leader. With his overwhelming strength and blazing temper, he controls the depths of the Abyss with an iron first. Now, as the corruption seeping through the Abyss threatens to wipe out his race, Thamuz seeks to ascend to godhood and crush fate with his own hands. To this end, he and his Fire Demons will burn everything to ash, until nothing is left. Thamuz still remembered the words of the former Lord of Lava. Thamuz was just a general back then — when the Sovereign of the Abyss ordered them to go to war, he forged his scythes from obsidian and lava, and reaped the battlefield with his blazing flames. However, the former lord saw in him not just strength that surpassed all others, but also wisdom rare among their kind. After the sovereign issued another call to arms, the former lord summoned Thamuz once more to the birthplace of the Fire Demons. This time, however, it wasn't to send him off to battle — it was to keep him from it. The Heart of Lava is the essence of the Fire Demons. As the wars raged on, more and more Fire Demons perished on the battlefield, littering them with grim statues. And with each loss, the Heart of Lava grew colder, spelling the downfall of the Fire Demons. The call of war could not be refused, but the Fire Demons desperately needed a new future — one that only the new generation like Thamuz could forge. After his succession, Thamuz begun the revival of the Fire Demons. During the brief respites from the fighting, the Fire Demons would see a resurgence in influence. But Thamuz was not fooled by these illusions. Looking at the races of the Abyss and the above races driven by the God of Light, he saw how race after race had disappeared from history in the Endless War. The obsidian and granite structure his ancestors once erected as the builders off the Abyss civilization now lay in ruins. The so-called gods sought only victory, treating all life as mere pawns in their petty game. The suffering of the Abyss must end. With this conviction, Thamuz led the Fire Demons to join the rebels, and in the final battle, commanded his forces deep into the Night Palace in the lowest depths of the Abyss. As he confronted the creator of the Abyss civilization, the power stirring in his blood confirmed the sovereign's words about the Abyss's nurturing nature. But the power once nourished the Abyss like a sun had become its enemy, discarding the lives of its subjects at will — and for that, she had to perish! After an earth shattering battle, Thamuz ended the sovereign's life with his own hands, while the rebels succeeded in their plan to defeat both the God of Light and the God of Darkness. Standing upon the ravaged pits of the Abyss, Thamuz resolved to forge a new Abyss, one that could stand equal to the surface world. Using the sovereign's blood as fuel, Thamuz brought the Abyss into a new era. But fate is a cruel mistress. The sovereign's blood curse began to spread through the Abyss, corrupting the very essence of many Abyssal beings, driving their minds mad and twisting their bodies. Even the Heart of Lava, nourished by the sovereign's blood, was not spared. Watching his brethren fall to madness one by one, Thamuz ideals crumbled. Amidst this chaos, Thamuz also had to fight against the mad Abyssal beings who sought to claim the sovereign's remains slumbering within the Night Palace — should they succeed, the outcome would make the current dark corruption seem gentle in comparison. The endless battles and fruitless labor let pain and rage devour Thamuz's heart. He gradually realized that only overwhelming power could subdue these lesser beings, and only transcendent power could overcome the curse. He must become a god, and then surpass even godhood. This shift disappointed many of his former allies and even made them fearful of Thamuz. But against the unstoppable dark corruption, their counsel rang hollow. Someone had to shoulder the fate of the Abyss, and Thamuz was convinced it had to be him. Thousands of years passed, and as madness and mutation grew ever worse, the Abyss became unrecognizable. The Lord of Lava, constantly reforging himself in the flames of war, continued his conquest and ascension toward godhood. His pride would not allow him to forget that promise— I will become the new sun of the Abyss, and my blood will ensure that the lava burns eternal!
